About Me

My Work

LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

I started writing at a relatively late age. It was several weeks after the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 and I woke from a vivid, elaborately detailed dream about a middle aged psychologist working on the upper west side of Manhattan who was questioning the meaning of his life. At the time I was you guessed it, a middle aged psychologist working on the upper west side of Manhattan. My wife's advice was "write it down." She is a writer. I told myself, I would give it a shot. And here I am eighteen years later still giving it a shot.  As the years passed and after getting some works published  I'm slowly becoming accustomed to thinking of myself as a writer. Setting up this web site is a deeper commitment to this new identity.

I have worked as a psychologist for over thirty-five years in New York City. As I began to cut back on my hours of work, writing went from being a sometime activity to something more serious. I have published two books, three dozen shorter pieces ranging from short stories to non-fiction pieces and hope to publish more.

This web site is to help people learn about my writing and encourage them to read my work.
